Whitby is a seaside town full of history and legend. It’s the home of Dracula, used to be a whaling port and has fossils hidden along the beach. The town has worn cobbled streets and packed in buildings. It has had many lives lived in it.

Whitby boasts vibrant colours and sounds with the arcade leading to the pier. Crashing stormy waves slamming into the harbour walls constantly changing to soft glassy water as the weather and sea regularly shift its conditions.

High vantage points allow you to view the town and see many different scenes of picturesque buildings, lush greenery and relaxed people moving about. These views are scattered around Whitby and are easy to reach.

Having visited Whitby a few times I am familiar with the way this town feels. There is a respected presence for the structure and history of the town, with a warmth that comes from the accent and routines of the people working here.

Visiting Whitby is a wonderful experience to see and walk around. It will fill you will intrigue and awe.
