This piece was commissioned as a gift for a wedding. It was very special as the couple had visited been on a safari in Africa and had taken many beautiful photos. One was chosen and I created a painting of it.

Painting such an unusual sky where there was a lot of reflection going on was very enjoyable. Building the blue and purple tones of the sunset was a joy and I loved being in my element with painting elephants.

The composition of this painting was wonderful and the colour palette was so bright and vivid.
