The most special animals, elephants Nadi and Thato are part of 'Sallys' herd. They were at the park I volunteered at in South Africa. Each elephant had unique bonds with the others and the guides. Nandi is a mother and an older elephant. Thato is a young boisterous elephant. Their behaviour was so gentle and calm with one another.
​
Painting this tender moment was a time of reflection. All the elephants living at the park are rescued and it is so important that they receive the attention and car they need. That is exactly what aeru gives them. All the research collated helps us understand these majestic creatures and give them a better chance a safe and happy lives.
