A cute kitten commission was a gift this clients dear friend.

The texture of the blanket was very interesting to paint and I had to be very accurate to create the folds of shadow and light. 

​

Capturing the calm peacefulness of this cat was reflected in how the paint was applied. I used a fat brush at the start of the process to put the blocked colours down. Then almost immediately moved to a thin brush for the detail of the hair and wisps.
