This commission was for a client that is a dog enthusiast. This pooch is their pride and joy.

The dog was very regal in its pose and to relay that onto the canvas took some time. I used washes mainly to build the painting up. A lot of directional lines were used to create a balanced  composition.

The colour palette was fairly muted to ensure the dog was the main focus.
