This commission of the two adorable pups was a gift to the clients family. These two are inseperable and have their own strong personalities.

Because of the nature of the dogs fur (very fluffy) I initially had to block out the shapes of each part of the dogs. I did this using a wide brush. To create the look of fluff I used washes and light tones for shadow and light.

The pups eyes needed to pop out of the painting, and I really feel as though they are staring at me waiting for food.
